Founded in 2016, writersbloc is a content-based reputation, Public Relations and digital media solutions agency based in Cape Town.
The agency is premised on creating tailored content for the client’s campaigns – from corporate and regulatory affairs to entertainment.

Amukelani is the founder of writersbloc. Born in Giyani, Amukelani is currently based in Cape Town. He obtained a journalism qualification from the Nelson Mandela University in 2005. Having worked for the Sunday Times and The Times newspaper between 2005 and 2009, Amukelani has also served in the public service as a writer for the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS).
Amukelani, who continues to write for GCIS on the work of Parliament, has also done content management work for major development finance institutions like the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).
After founding writersbloc in 2016, Amukelani has gone on to work with domestic and multi-national brands in the private and public sectors – from Kagiso Media and British American Tobacco South Africa to MultiChoice Group and AB InBev-SA Breweries.
With a combined 15 years of experience in different capacities, including communications advisory and reputation Management, creating compelling content and consistent messaging is his current area of expertise. Amukelani does not wear a tie prefers to wear sneakers with any attire, including his office clothes
